Steam’s Big Picture… That’s a thing.

Steam has come out with a more optimized version of steam for your TV. Basically you can plug your computer into a television, Click Big Picture in the top right hand corner of Steam (if you are participating in the beta), and it loads up a full screen tv optimized interface that works well with a controller. I messed around with it last night by plugging in a third-party Xbox controller and the interface reacted very well to the controller. However I went to boot up Super Meat Boy and my character would spaz out between sprint and stand mode, then I went into Counter Strike:GO and the interface all worked well with the controller, but as soon as the game started my controller stopped and I had to switch to my keyboard and mouse. So it seems like there are still a few kinks to work out, but over all I enjoy it. I see myself plugging in a laptop to my TV on a lazy Sunday instead of hunched over at my PC.
