Almost Human – S01E01 – Pilot – Live Blog!

In celebration of hooking up my cable in over 3 years I’m gonna try out this live blogging system while watching Fox’s new series Almost Human!

Almost Human – Trailer

Almost Human is one of those shows that slipped by my filter for a while. I had seen the headline in my feeds a few times, but my brain wrote it off as another doomed middle market sci-fi television series. I finally took the time to watch the trailer above which highlighted some impressive visuals and I am always down to watch anything with Karl Urban in it. Karl Urban is no stranger to the sci-fi genre playing iconic roles such as Judge Dredd in Dredd, Bones in the Star Trek reboot, John Grimm in Doom, and plenty more. Not to mention a backing from J.J Abrams’ Bad Robot.

The series is set 35 years into the future when humans in the Los Angeles Police Department are paired up with life-like androids, as a detective who has a dislike for robots ends up being teamed up with one with emotional feelings. – Wikipedia

Some troubling news has risen as their show runner, Shanmugam Shankar, has already parted ways with the show. Almost Human premieres on November 4th on FOX.

Star Trek Into Darkness – Blu Ray Release

One of this years biggest movies (Star Trek Into Darkness) is now available on Blu Ray. JJ Abrams second installment of the rebooted franchise and does not disappoint.

After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

Star Trek Into Darkness – Official Trailer #3

This is the third trailer for J.J. Abrams “Star Trek Into Darkness” which will be in theaters May 17th. This trailer gives a better feeling of the relationship between James T. Krik played by Chris Pine and rumored Khan (but I sort of hope it is an alternate universe Picard) played by Benedict Cumberbatch.  I am glad to see some space in this trailer as previous trailers seemed to have been stuck on the land and well… land is boring!
